Since many decades, KAYSER filter bags and filter elements are successfully used in all industries. Since 1928, KAYSER has been specialized in the field of textile filter media for industrial applications.

KAYSER processes all the branded fibers available for filtration purposes. the fiber properties are listed in the following table.



Polypropylene fibers are characterized by their outstanding resistance to chemicals and hydrolysis. They can be attacked only by strong oxidation. They are used at temperatures up to 90°C under conditions where polyester cannot be used due to chemically aggressive environment.


Dedusting of galvanizing plants and chemical processes


the advantage of this fiber compared to copolymeric Pan fibers is its higher temperature resistance, improved chemical resistance and higher strength. It is used mainly where polyester cannot be used owing to high moisture conditions.


Boiler dedusting, incineration plants, drying plant/milling-drying, coal grinding plants, non-ferrous smelting plant and asphalt mixing plants.


Due to their favorable cost effectiveness, polyester fibers are the most frequently used fibre

type in filter media.


Silo-/bunker-mounted filters, dedusting of packing and transport routes, general dedusting of work bays, mill dedusting in non-metallic minerals industries, clinker cooler dedusting, steel works (electric arc furnaces), foundries (sand preparation), woodworking industry and cereals and animal food industry.



their good resistance to hydrolysis, alkalies and acids make them an alternative to PTFE fibers under certain conditions. they are easily oxidised at increased temperature.

in general m-ar tends to be gradually degraded under hostile flue gas conditions e. g.: combination of elevated temperatures above (140°C to 200°C and excessive moisture (>10%). Consequently, filter media made of m-aramid are frequently processed with an additional protection against acids and hydrolysis. Dog bone-shaped fiber cross-section with good dust separating efficiency.

Polyimides are polycondensates from aromatized monomers with particularly high heat resistance. the fiber has good chemical resistance, but this is endangered under highly alkaline moisture conditions. there is a limited tendency to oxidation through o2 or no2 at high temperatures. Multilobal fibre crosssection with very high fiber surface and very good dust separating efficiency.


Boiler dedusting, cement kiln dedusting, incineration plants, calcining of gypsum, lime shaft kilns and non-ferrous metal melting furnaces.


this fiber has an outstanding thermal and chemical stability. PTFE-needlefelts have high area weights due to the high specific gravity of the fiber. New KAYSER-surface finishes ensure unprecedented filtration efficiency.


refuse/hazardous waste incineration, boiler dedusting without preconnected neutralizations, chemical processes and dedusting of driers at high temperatures.


Due to its mechanical properties, fiberglass gets only used in form of a woven fabric. To enhance filtration properties, fiber glass is frequently used with laminated EPTFE membrane. Capable to work continuously over 260ºC.


Combustion processes with high temperatures like cement kilns, steel and ferroalloys furnaces, waste incineration and carbon black.
